Why is FISA being passed by the Senate with overwhelming majority? I've researched the bill and it has no shame describing itself as allowing warrantless spying on Americans (and foreigners?). IIRC it's also just renewing this ability.

Mike Johnson stated that he had been against the bill until seeing classified documents, and now he understands how essential it is for national security. That seems to be the sentiment of most representatives.
