Should accept help desk offer?

I graduate next month. Bachelors in information systems. Texas school known for tech/engineering. 2 cyber internships, 1 tech internship. A+ and Sec+ certs. Only offer ive managed is a help desk type role for a school district. CIO said i could do part time help desk and part time with the infosec team. Pay is 39k. Good benefits.
