Thoughts on forcing users to see aliases instead of emails in Microsoft?

Was hearing from some users about not liking that they see a name instead of an email address and saw some threads online about having completely different email form a user but the alias still shows up as them.

Also attaching this thread if anyone wants to help let Microsoft know their opinion, not sure if it's been posted or not.
