What can I do now to prepare myself for a career in cybersecurity?

I'm interested in eventually working in the cybersecurity field. Currently, I'm in the military and have a year left until I'm done with my contract. Once I get out of the military I'm planning on getting a bachelor's degree in computer science with a cybersecurity concentration. As of now all I am doing to reach this goal is general education classes at a local community college, is there anything now that I can do to help/prepare me to get into …
