How do others deal with the disconnect that tends to grow when management doesn't have time to hear trends/issues? Say it's a busy week, like holiday season, for instance.

I find that being succinct is difficult for me depending on the situation, but it's ever prescient when I do communicate to management, yet still find myself getting shut down in meetings or told to take it offline.

Is this just a common issue everywhere?
