I was hired by the company I work at now 3 years ago. There are 7 of us in the internal SOC for a company with 10k employees. I was promised amazing growth and mentorship. Fast forward to the present day and it’s very evident why a lot of places don’t hire folks with 0 experience often. My colleagues were too busy with projects and fighting fires to effectively train me etc.
