Is rob braxman full of it? He claims facebook uses ARP to track you via MAC, but I thought sites in a browser can't perform ARP.

I watched his video on why to use virtual machines, and his #4 benefit of VMs is they appear as if they're on a different subnet, thus thwarting facebook app on a phone using ARP to reveal the VM's MAC since the VM appears as if it's on a different subnet.
