I’m being harassed by a former friend. How can I prevent them from finding my new address?

I’m getting ready to move. I’m being harassed and lowkey stalked by a former friend. I’m planning to take legal action, but was curious if there’s ways to stay off the radar with my new address. Currently everything is in my mom’s address and I’m also wanting to protect her, too. I’m in the US. Would a PO Box work for most things? My mom’s address when it can’t be a POB? Planning to change my number as well.
