Fake 7-zip on Microsoft Store just caught them using remoteconnect and installing malware on my gf’s computer.

Long story short, my gf (NGO employee) installed 7zip November of last year from the MS Store to unzip stuff and I believe she got a compromised version off the Microsoft Store. A chinese security firm discovered this compromised 7-zip last year (english link at bottom).

Anyways, her computer slowed to a crawl today while we were watching movies and I noticed 7zip, winget autoupdate romanithos (she never installed), remoteconnect (she never installed) and Microsoft Teams hogging all the memory …
