CyberSecurity in the EU

I’m currently in the US in an entry-level CyberSecurity role but long-term I’m looking to move to Europe, most likely Germany.

What’s it like to work over there? I know IT people tend to say US salaries are much higher than the EU but benefits are worse. Is that true?
