I am not the poster they're referring to, just someone who has run into the topic being discussed (not at my current org thankfully but I've seen it, -5% unemployment rate will do that).
It would have taken nothing not to IMMEDIATELY take a stab at the poster (and then shill consultation services) while still discussing the topic but hey, hope it made their show perform better. Even bringing up tone later in the conversation …
