Alternative for Foursquare Swarm?

I used to use Foursquare Swarm a lot in the past to check in at places. Then I became more privacy conscious and deleted the app. Recently I’ve noticed that I kind of miss the app because now I don’t have an easy and convenient way anymore to remember places I’ve been (for example restaurants in cities I’ve visited).

Is there a more private solution for this that works in a way similar to Foursquare Swarm?
