I've read over several posts about where people (beginners) should start on their journey into cybersecurity. Bootcamps, degree, security+ etc..

My question is - if someone's goal is to start out working in a SOC, what would be the top things to become most familiar with?

I'm a newbie, but do have a bit of IT, firewall, AD administration experience, though it's been quite some time. I've spent some time learning about SIEM, EDR, SOAR and of course Phishing, Malware …

beginners bootcamps cybersecurity edr etc experience firewall journey people question security siem soar soc start things working
