YouTube now wants a video of your face or your ID to verify your channel.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I do not want to give an untrustworthy company more of my information (which they could probably get if they really wanted to). I tried googling this issue but nothing showed up (only the age verification ID dilemma, but that's another can of worms). Any idea what to do? YouTube is getting shittier by the day i hope they go bankrupt if they keep doing things like this!
