At my highschool we use chromebooks, google classroom, and gmail.

Like literally our entire school seems to be built around google. If you want to do anything you have to go through a google service. Why is no one at all suspicious? Or at least a little uncomfortable with this?

Do the schools pay for google classroom and the students gmail accounts? Or do they just use it because it's free?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but having a conglomerate like google …
