Why don’t people just PGP encrypt all of their communications?

The title is basically all I had to ask. I constantly see people asking about the best email provider or most secure messenger or whatever it may be, and yes I know encrypting and decrypting messages can get tedious but if you’re that concerned with the privacy, why not just encrypt them? It’s really only a few extra seconds once you have someone’s public key.
