Why do I get laughed at when I tell people that facebook is the reason their data is everywhere?

I own two properties. I have owned several others in the past. That being the case, I have at least four entries (deeds) in public record. I am married, and have an adopted son (more public records).

I have NEVER been a facebook user. I have never installed the facebook app on my phone.

You can type my name, address, and phone number into any people search site until your fingers bleed. I never show up.
