In recent times it seems like pushes for mass surveillance have gotten way worse. We got chat control and new pushes towards data retention in Europe, earn it act and the Restrict act in the US and also some pushes for surveillance in the UK. It seems like in every western country lawmakers are trying to tighten the grip they got on our data and to introduce more surveillance and censorship.
