Which modern (smart, I guess) TV is least bad for privacy?

1) Which system should I look for? Are there actually differences?
2) Short of not connecting at all to internet, can I do something to improve privacy? Can I set up my router/firewall or something to help me out here?
3) Should I simply not allow it on internet - Most of the TV's have some useful apps. But really I could just "not use it" …
