Where to get throwaway phone numbers

Basically, the title. I have been trying to create a Gmail account but it requires me to put in a phone number and I don't want to use my personal one.

Besides that almost any social media nowadays requires a phone number which is just crazy to me.

Free options are wanted the most, but please dont suggest quackr.io or temporarynumber.com as those never work because the numbers have already been used.
