What would I have to do to hide from someone ?

Hello. Trying to interest on privacy and I'm searching for threat models and stuff. I find very obvious answers to hide from corporations, etc but not that much to hide from someone (a parent, a friend). Is it because it's too simple ? What someone would have to do ? Change IP ? Change account ? What if it's a hacker ? Thanks.
