This is something I've been pondering for a while, everyone keeps answering the same answer as well, "it's to sell products and make targeted ads".

However that answer has been given to me so many times I'm actually wondering if there's some sort of ulterior motive considering how much of our privacy is being taken away and for what other purpose do companies need certain things like medical information, biometrics, there's even supposedly data being collected of certain health records …
