What security bugs are not worth a CVE?

I'm very new to the CVE system, and recently found an exploit in a simple IoT device that allows root access from a flash drive with user input on the device. Not super flashy - it's not a network exploit, or a particularly valuable IoT device to exploit, but it's not nothing and didn't take long to find.
