I have an older Nighthawk router (I am considering a Ubiquiti upgrade) that seems to work fine for my needs. It handles the symmetrical gigabit connection I have feeding into it and has decent coverage, with an AP on the far side of the house.

I'm not running anything mission critical nor do I need maximum op sec.
