What is your view on the cyber threat intelligence (CTI)/ OSINT job market now?

As title says, I read around and see its more difficult for those with over 10y exp to get hired after these "layoffs" wave vs new less experienced and knowledgeable ones, why the preference for newcomers vs established ones? simply curiosity is that a bad time for CTI roles?
