What happens to the accounts linked to my phone number when I change my number?

Tbh I’d keep my phone number but I intend to move abroad so I have to give up my phone number and get another one, if not there’ll continuously be an extra phone bill.


I have a few accounts where logging in require my number + password, not a username or email. There’re also those sites where a phone number is a requirement but it’s not used to log in.


Lastly, what about messaging apps that use phone numbers?
