I recently started an elective course on foundations of security in computing. I'm really into the cryptography side of things. RSA, Diffie-Hellman and all that. I love the maths behind it.

I'd really love to be able to have job with something to do with cryptography but from what I hear, cryptography doesn't seem to be something that will actually net you a job in an actual company with good pay and that cryptography is mainly about academic research.
