A. CIA/AAA - helped paint the big picture, though it did not click for me until I could connect tools and processes to the letters in the acronyms.
Ex:
C = Encryption and Hardening
I = Authentication and Hashing
A = Resiliency and Recovery
Authentication = Identity Management
Authorization = Access Management
Accounting = Auditing, Inventory Management and Monitoring
