USPS Scam SMS - Link Discussion

Alright.

I finally got one of those USPS text message scams but the link it contains got me wondering.

I went ahead and took a look at the link which was just a domain name. It didn't contain any identifiers or anything unique to me so it's more than likely a massive spear phishing campaign.

The thing is, the link just redirects to the official USPS site. That's it. No special character url or phishing page or downloads pushed. The …
