Using Linux as main laptop isn't good for work, both for compatibility and software availability. Second best option is Macbook, but it doesn't guarantee privacy. How to solve this problem?

I am currently dual booting windows/Pop!OS, but it's option with too many drawbacks. Battery life is poor and it degrades faster because Linux can't manage it as effeciently as windows. Overall not a smooth experience with a lot of time wasted on making it work. VM on Linux isn't option either. I am thinking of buying Macbook Air M1 for work only, and separate Linux machine for personal use, but that's expensive and it is additional space on the table …
