US better prepared to combat persistent ransomware threat

Despite the continued persistence of ransomware incidents, U.S. Cyber Command and National Security Agency Head Gen. Paul Nakasone and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Director Jen Easterly have noted that several ongoing and upcoming efforts seek to address the looming threat, according to The Record, a news site by cybersecurity firm Recorded Future.
