I'm aware that false positives occur frequently, but while using Nikto to run a scan on my company's host with the SSL tag, the results showed that there's a possibility of a CVE 2000. Security patches make sure that such issues don't come up again, and after verifying their system health as well, we found no such live issue.

Regardless, is it still possible that such an old issue can resurface, despite having everything patched up-to-date? I'm new to cybersecurity, …
