Universal credit (UK) asking for picture of face. Has anyone else encountered this?

My friend has been on universal credit for years now but today when they logged on to the universal credit website they were greeted by [this request out of nowhere](https://imgur.com/a/Bho2pCG). Has anyone else had this before?

They want a picture of their face in front of their house (with the door open) while holding the ID up next to them.
