Tried Incogni for a month, now getting insane amount of spam. Is it their fault?

I've been using an email address for a few years, so it was getting a few spam emails (maybe 3-6 emails a month). I'm in the process of migrating this email to a more private service, and figured I would try Incogni on the old one to see if I see any change in spam count or anything else.
