Hi,

I was looking into securely wiping the unallocated space on our machines post some project work and I noticed there's a lot of debate about good SSD wiping.

I mostly understood this is due to SSD having a write-managing layer that would basically render over-write wipes useless. I also noticed that Trim hasn't always given the best results. Not much explanation on why cypher or bitlocker+format doesn't work.

Question here is: what's your preferred SSD wiping method? And why? …
