Someone trying (hard) to hack my Google account?

Over the last week, I have received 1-2 SMS google verification codes per day. These were not knowingly triggered by me and no account settings have been changed, no new apps signed in with google etc.
I went through the google sign in process from a private tab and found you can indeed trigger an email+sms code login via the forgot password link.
I changed my google password, my account has 2FA (via seemingly SMS and OTP app), and …
