Someone just asked me: "How do you network with people already in the field if you yourself aren’t in it yet?" I thought the answer might be worth sharing.

Disclaimer: I am not "in" the field yet. Well, not quite. I do threat hunting in the military, but mostly just practice / study. So this whole "getting into the field" desperation is still on the forefront of my thoughts and has been for years now.
