So basically google chrome just tells every website what my google account is?

I use chrome at work, and noticed that most websites that have an option to log in with a google account actually say "Log in as <My google account name>". I am obviously connected to a google account on that browser.

Does that mean every website that wants to know the name of my google account can do that automatically in chrome?
