Maybe it wouldn't even need to be a money thing. So much tracking, in addition to phone towers, etc takes place off of the routers our devices pick up when the devices are in range?


What if there were simply a mass power down? Perhaps in coordinated fashion, or even nighty when they routers/modems aren't actively being used?


Would it make any difference at all?
