Should one assume we should not post anything on Reddit that is personal or risk being identified?

I'm new to reddit. It seems a good place to ask awkward or embarrassing questions IRL say about relationships, or an embarrassing medical problem, or test out sensitive political views and so on? However, a post in another sub reddit might potentially identify who I am? Should one set up an account where anything can be posted with specific alias for more sensitive stuff? How do others approach this? Thanks.
