Privacy & Freedom in the Information Age www.reddit.com

So [Raycast](https://www.raycast.com/) is a 3rd party Spotlight replacement and I really like it but recently I read that there might be some privacy concerns installing this app.

I am looking for any one who knows more than I do if I should get rid of it or to keep it because I am not up for any company to read, store, and share my local files. Any one has any idea? Any trust worthy replacements?
