Should I be concerned about telemetry in mechanical keyboards?

I'm interested in buying a [Dygma Raise](https://dygma.com/pages/dygma-raise-2) mechanical keyboard but I've recently learned that they want/will add telemetry to their software in the future. They use [Bazecor](https://dygma.com/pages/programmable-split-keyboard) (a FOSS, fork from Chrysalis, a software for KBs using the Kaleidoscope firmware - that I've never heard of)
Is this something to be concerned about and would it be a deal breaker?
