Sending CV to recruiters before seeing a job spec?

I get recruiters reach out a few times a week with potential roles I may suit; However most recruiters simply state "We have a security analyst role, please forward your CV to blahblahblah@blah.com to discuss more"


Today it is specifically the hiring manager for the comapny hiring who has reached out; As the hirers are reaching out to me, am I crazy to to request a job spec first before sending a CV?
