Security Engineers: What are your biggest gripes about the job?

Do you ever get FOMO or an itch to work on product development? Do you ever get treated like second class citizens compared to software engineers working on flagship products/features? What are your biggest gripes and insecurities about the career?

Background: I'm an iOS engineer (around 4 years of experience) considering a pivot into cybersecurity. I'm in no rush to pivot, so am just taking the time to do my research and make sure this is something I really want.
