We are healthcare org with over 3000 users. I was tasked with implementing complete block on USB access for employees. Our goal is to enhance security by preventing the introduction of malware through random USB device. We blocked the USB on all computers using AV EDR Device Control. In addition, we wrote a companywide policy and get them signed off by senior management.

But sometimes we have business requirement to use the USB.

To manage this, we're considering a plan …

access addition block blocked computers control cybersecurity device edr employees goal healthcare introduction malware org practices random security usb
