Reddit will save your original comment even if you edit before deleting, here's a semi-workaround

If you ask to download your information using the [Reddit support form](https://www.reddit.com/settings/data-request) you will see that reddit saves all your original comments but not the edits.

Knowing this, you can press reply to the desired comment or post, write what you want but not post it, select all and cut. After this post a random comment or literally anything, a single letter, a dot whatever. After the comment is posted, go for the edit and paste your original comment.
