I was recently researching about USB security and got to known of hardware UEB Firewalls like [USG](https://github.com/robertfisk/USG/wiki/Hardware-(DIY-v0.9)) or the [Armadillo USB Firewall](https://fossbytes.com/armadillo-usb-firewall-device/).

However, they seem quite dated, protections from 4-5 years ago. I am unsure if USB 2.0 is a feature (by downgrading USB 3 and beyond attacks to USB 2) or is USB hardware security no longer a concern, maybe by having better electronics or smarter software protection like USBGuard.
