my epson inkjet has finally died and i need to replace it. i'm inclined to move toward a laser AIO, but am concerned about a trend. seems like many printers now phone home frequently for supplies, etc. i really dislike this for a variety of reasons.

i've looked around but haven't had much luck finding what printers do or don't phone home - seems the status of this "feature" is not well discussed up front.

does anyone have suggestions on …

home phoning home printers privacy
