Question for cyber consultants,analysts, and engineers

As a guy just turned 30 and looking for a career change what advice would you give starting out in this field? I currently have a bachelors and sports management and currently in the process of going back to school for cybersecurity. My goals are to potentially be a cyber/cloud consultant or analyst once I acquire experience. The cybersecurity program I applied for was through WGU.
