Total noob here: let’s say you actually get your normie family and friends to use Signal apps. Am I misguided in thinking that whatever OS and apps they use are probably proprietary and have spyware and malware in them defeating the purpose? If these people are using Facebook or some sketchy kardashian app they give access to their messages surely these programs are scraping everything they can access on the device.

I honestly just don’t feel like using the internet …
